VANFORU LTD · No Stress With Us
Terms & Conditions
Version 2026-10-22-v2 · Draft for review before publication
These Terms govern removal, transport, packing and related services provided by VANFORU LTD to private and business customers. Requesting a quote does not confirm a booking. Acceptance of a quotation and confirmation of a booking are subject to these Terms and applicable law.
1. Services Provided
VANFORU LTD provides residential and commercial removals, furniture transportation, loading and unloading, packing, protective wrapping, and furniture dismantling and reassembly.
Only services listed in your written quotation or booking confirmation are included. Additional work may incur charges explained and agreed before it begins. We perform services with reasonable care and skill.
2. Quotations and Booking Confirmation
Quotes are based on the addresses, property access, floors, lifts, parking, inventory, volume, staffing and services you provide. Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 14 days.
A quote request is not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only after VANFORU accepts it and any required deposit is received.
You may request inventory changes until 24 hours before your scheduled moving time. Within the final 24 hours, contact VANFORU by phone to discuss changes. Changes to volume, access or services may require a revised price, vehicle or crew; additional work is subject to agreement and availability.
3. Deposits and Payment Terms
A deposit of 25% of the agreed service price is normally required to secure the moving date. The balance is payable upon completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Payments may be made by bank transfer or cash as agreed. When paying a deposit by bank transfer, use the quote or booking reference supplied in your quotation as the payment reference.
Additional charges must have a valid contractual basis and be explained in accordance with your quotation and these Terms.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please tell us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
For cancellations more than 24 hours before the service, we may deduct reasonable direct losses already incurred and refund the remainder of the deposit. For cancellations within 24 hours, a greater deduction may be justified because vehicles and staff have been reserved; we will consider costs saved and reasonable steps to reduce losses.
Where justified losses exceed the deposit, any additional claim is limited to amounts legally and contractually recoverable. Serious emergencies may be considered individually for a reschedule, credit or goodwill refund. Applicable statutory cancellation rights take precedence.
5. Client Responsibilities
Provide complete, accurate information about items, floors, stairs, lifts, parking, walking distances, access restrictions and any unusually heavy, fragile, valuable or hazardous items.
Arrange lawful parking and loading access, appropriate packing for items not packed by us, and necessary keys or entry permissions. Parking charges or penalties attributable to your inaccurate instructions may be recoverable where legally permitted; we remain responsible for our own unlawful conduct.
6. Waiting Time and Additional Charges
Where delays attributable to the customer or their arrangements are outside our reasonable control, waiting time may be charged at £60 per hour, proportionately for the actual chargeable time.
Work requested or agreed after 7:00 PM may incur an additional £30 per hour per worker on top of applicable agreed labour or waiting charges, only where disclosed and agreed in advance. Charges must be reasonable in the circumstances.
7. Packing, Furniture and Special Items
Tell us in advance about pianos, safes, antiques, valuable artwork, unusually heavy or fragile items, or items needing specialist handling. Extra equipment, staff or separate arrangements may be necessary.
We exercise reasonable care when dismantling and reassembling furniture. Existing defects, weakened fittings and missing components may affect what can safely be done. Dangerous, prohibited or inadequately disclosed items may be refused where necessary for safety or compliance.
8. Insurance and Liability
VANFORU's stated current insurance cover is Goods in Transit £10,000 and Public Liability £1,000,000, subject to the terms, exclusions and limits of the active insurance policies.
Insurance limits do not automatically define or cap our legal liability. Claims are assessed under the circumstances, applicable law and contract. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or non-excludable consumer rights.
9. Damage, Complaints and Claims
Please inspect your goods promptly and report visible damage or missing items, ideally within 48 hours, with photographs and supporting information. This is a recommended timeframe, not a deadline that removes your legal rights.
We investigate complaints fairly and may request evidence or an opportunity to inspect items. We aim to acknowledge written complaints within five working days and provide a substantive response within 15 working days, or explain any necessary delay.
10. Delays, Breakdowns and Events Beyond Our Control
We take reasonable steps to arrive and perform services as agreed. Severe weather, closures, breakdowns, accidents or emergencies may cause disruption.
We will inform you as soon as reasonably practicable and seek a suitable solution. Rescheduling, cancellation, refunds and remedies are subject to applicable law and the circumstances. Our duty to exercise reasonable care and skill remains.
11. Storage, Disposal and Additional Services
Storage, waste disposal, specialist lifting and other services outside the agreed removal quote are not included unless separately agreed with applicable pricing and terms.
Waste disposal is undertaken only through lawful arrangements. Relevant third-party terms will be explained before you agree to those services.
12. Data Protection and Confidentiality
We process contact details, addresses, inventories, bookings and payment records to prepare quotations, deliver services, maintain records and meet legal obligations, in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
We do not sell customer data. Trusted service providers may process data on our behalf with appropriate safeguards. Disclosures to authorities occur only where legally required or permitted. Accounting and tax records are generally retained for at least six years. A separate Privacy Policy will provide fuller details.
13. Business Customers and Consumer Rights
Private customers retain their applicable statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Business customers may agree additional or different written terms, subject to applicable law.
14. Governing Law and Contact Information
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to the customer. We will first seek to resolve disputes directly; nothing prevents lawful court proceedings or statutory remedies.
